BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is mounted below the roof-line of the old Dove-house. Four semi-circles around the gnomon root, with ’rays’ starting the hour lines which bear inward-pointing arrow heads, with a double ’back-to-back’ scroll on the noon line. Half hour divisions, with additional quarter hour marks for hours 1pm to 3pm. Across the foot of the plate ’The Lord’s name / is to be praised’.
