BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Ascension Burial Ground, Cambridge

The memorial is by the path running along the north-west boundary of the burial ground. It was restored in 2014. The dial forms one face of a cube at the top of a memorial column, this being topped by a tapering pyramid and small ball. Upright Arabic numerals 9am to 8pm, the dial facing about 30 degrees west of south. Hour lines and half hour marks. The dial is a memorial to Lt Rudolph Cecil Hopkinson, RE Brigade Signal Officer, who was wounded near Loos in 1915 and died two years later in Cambridge. A full note of the inscriptions is held in the archive.
