BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

City Yard House, Wing

The dial stone, with break-arch top, is set into stonework close to the SE corner of the house. In Aug 2013 it was barely visible due to obscuring vegetation. Upright Arabic numerals 6am to 6pm, with cross for noon. Hour lines to full circle around the gnomon root, and half-hour marks. Strip gnomon with a shallow S-shapeed support. Ref: ’Time in Rutland’, Ovens and Sleath, from which the picture is taken.
