BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Leics & Rutland

The dial plate is fixed to the south face of the house above the front door. The upper edge is scroll shaped, with a semi-circle and sun rays. The main hour lines give local solar time and are labelled with Arabic numerals. The chapter ring with Roman numerals and divided to half and quarter hours, appears to give Greenwich solar time. A stone plate above the dial records that the house was built in 1773.
