BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial, with a moulded stone capping, is fitted in the stonework of a gable-end above a first-floor window over the main entrance bay. Roman hour numerals are still just visible, and hour lines with half-hour markings. The gnomon is pierced by a small nodus hole about an inch below the style, and summer and winter solstice lines are visible on the plate. The lower edge of the gnomon is a serrated upward curve. A stone set into the building gives a date of 1640. Ref: ’Time in Rutland’, Ovens and Sleath.
