BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Peter’s Church, Lenton

The dial is painted on the south facing stonework of the tower, at the height of the nave roof. The chapter ring and arched top are in a dull red, the centre in white, with black furniture. Along the top of the chapter ring is the date 1824 (hard to read now but confirmed by Mee). Upright numerals VI - XII - IV - V, with hour lines to semicircle around the gnomon root, half hour lines with fleur-de-lys on their inner ends, and short quarter hour lines. Ref: Mee’s ’King’s England’ series for Lincolnshire.
