BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in London (Greater)

This is a deeply patinated dial on a square-sectioned stone pillar with a two-stepped base. The hour numerals are IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, with a split noon, read from the outside and divided to 30 and 15 minutes. The motto is unusual: ’Certa Ratio’ (A sure reckoning). The tip of the gnomon is broken.
