BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in London (Greater)

A War Memorial dial, dedicated to Aircraftsman B C F Bicknell, died 7 June 1942. 8-point star at the centre, labelled to NE etc. Anti-clockwise circular EOT scale with ’Watch Faster’, ’Watch Slower’. Numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, from outside, with noon gap, divided to 30, 15 and 5 minutes. Mounted on square-sectioned, fluted, Art Deco style plinth.
