BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

1 - 3 Fellows Close, Abingdon

Decorative, but not a functioning sundial. Upright Roman hour numerals marked out from 3am to 10pm. Gnomon offset to the west, with 11 vertically below. Across the top in Gothic script ’Thames to the Sea’, and below ’Time Eternity’. Gold sunburst around the gnomon root. The dial plate, with arched top, is set into brickwork of gable end of building overlooking the River Thames.
