BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Baldock Manor Hospital, Baldock

A rectangular white stone dial on two corbels, set into the brickwork between two ground floor bay windows on the south elevation of the house. Architect Geoffrey Lucas FRIBA, maker (to the design of G Lucas) Messrs Barker & Son Ltd, Clerkenwell, E.C. Upright numerals VII - XII - VI, with half and quarter hour divisions and split noon line. Motto across the top ’ TEMPUS FUGIT ET LABUNTUR ANNOS’. Below that, on each side, ’W S’ (for the owner, John Dale) and ’1908’.
