BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
A simple cast dial. War memorial. Square cross-sectioned stone plinth inscribed ’At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them’, bearing an octagonal bronze dial with IV - XII - VIII, read from the outside, and an 8-point compass rose at the centre.
