BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Devon

A simple sundial with hours IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, 8-point compass rose, and motto : ’Shadows round about my face / the sunny hours of day will trace’. On square sectioned granite column about 1200 high, and 350 x 450. Bronze plaque on the face of the column, 200 x 125, with dedication to the parishioners of Drewsteignton involved in the two World Wars. Imperial War Museum ref UKNIWM No 45873.
