BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Berkshire

A new octagonal dial replacing SRN 2887, which was stolen in 2004. It is countersunk into the top of the plinth. V - XII - VII, from outside, with half-hour divisions. 8 compass points marked as N | E etc. Long solid gnomon. Central ornamental star with floral decoration. Stone plinth with octagonal top stone, and a brass plate on the side commemorating George Herring (1833 - 1906), founder of the almshouses.
