BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Yorkshire (N)

A dodecahedral dial supported by a lead statue of an African man on one knee, wearing a feathered skirt. The north face carries (or carried) painted inscriptions ’per W. Freeman’ and ’MDCCX...’ The statue is located in the centre of a small pool approx 4 metres South of the Orangery. Ref English Heritage Grade II listed 1984.
