Myddelton House, Enfield

No maker’s name seen, but the word ’London’ is engraved at the N side of the dial plate. 16-point compass rose, labelled to NNE etc. Part of an EOT scale is engraved (Months and Days, but no Minutes fast or slow). Numerals IIII - XII - IV - VIII, from inside, with noon gap, divided to 30, 15 and 5 minutes. Coat of Arms at the S side of the plate. This appears to be a replacement for SRN 6892, mounted on the same pedestal, which is of an ornate octagonal baluster style, carved with various marine instruments etc around the eight faces. There are two other dial plinths in the gardens, but both without dial plates.
