BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Norfolk

The slate-grey dial is on a lawn in the garden of an Estate cottage c 300m west of the Hall, standing on a stone pedestal whose top doubles as an annular bird bath. It has floral decoration and cardinal points N, S, E & W. The hours are in Arabic numerals read from the south, 5am to 7pm. The motto ’Morning Glory’ is in the chapter ring, centred between two crescent moons. There are no hour lines but tick marks for hours and quarter hours.
