BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Surrey

Painted dial positioned in a bricked-in window above the front door, but not fitting the space well. Clearly made for another location. The dial bears the date 1734, which is the date of the house. Wide blue border with chapter ring, blue hour lines on white central rectangle. The rod gnomon has one straight terminal support and springs from the centre of a flaming sun face. Upright numerals III - XII - IIII. Sun, date and numerals in gold.
