BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

Roman numerals for 5am to 7pm in 30, 15 and 5 minute intervals. The plate is inscribed: ’Latitude 54° 27’, and ’Rich’d ?Morney / ? Hornby of Liverpool’. Octagonal top, pillar and base. The plate is 1,225mm above the 140mm thick base. Allan Bank is a former residence of the poet William Wordsworth.
