BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
An octagonal dial, inscribed ‘Festina Lente’ and dated 1722. Roman numerals from outside, Noon is marked as XII and 4pm as IIII. 16-point compass rose, the points carried right out to the border of the dial, passing under the chapter ring. Solid gnomon with short quadranrt supports. Stone pedestal with round top.
