BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is in the Orchard Garden. Roman numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from inside, with split noon. There is a suggestion of possible engraving on the north sector of the chapter ring. Pierced gnomon (not firmly attached) with wide ’S’ and curlicues. Stone pedestal with square top showing markings of a previous round plate of 280 diameter being fixed.
