BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Michael’s Church, Swaton

The dial plate, above the window in the south wall of the south transept, is set in deeply into the stonework on the rhs to face south. The adjacent stonework above and to the rhs has been chamfered to prevent shadows being thrown on to the surface of the dial. Similarly, stonework below is cut into a wedge shape to allow clear view of the dial plate. Some Roman numerals and hour lines remain faintly visible (1, 2, 3, ..6). Strip gnomon with curvrd support.
