BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Church Cottage, Asgarby

The dial plate is set into stonework at ground floor level between the front windows. The centre of the plate is carved in the form of a scallop shell with the ribs overlying the hour lines, and scrolls above. Upright numerals VII - XII - IV - VI. The remains of a gnomon rod are currently mounted horizontally. Note this is Asgarby near Sleaford, not Asgarby near Horncastle!
