BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Limetree Cottage, Kirton

The dial plate is cut back from a raised border with quadrants at the corners. It is set into brickwork above the front door. Across the top the date ’MDCCCXX’. Upright numerals VI - XII - IV - V, with hour lines to a semicircle around the gnomon root, and half and quarter hour divisions. The semicircle includes triangular indentations around the inner side. Strip gnomon with single straight strut.
