BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lincolnshire

The dial commemorates Lt Charles Cyril Roslington Boyer, MT, RASC (1892-1919). His initials ’CCRB’ are worked in to the pierced gnomon, surmounted by a cross. Numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from outside, with noon gap and half and quarter hour divisions. The dial plate is recessed into the top of the plinth, a tapering stone column.
