BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Memorial dial, with motto ’Shades tell’. Arabic numerals read from outside, 4 - 12 - 8 with half, quarter and eighth hour divisions, and split noon. 8-point compass rose. Dial plate set into recess in top of plinth, on a square section tapering stone pedestal.
