BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Barton House (2), Barton-on-the-Heath

The dial is on the gable end of an outbuilding, mounted proud of the wall and with the top corners cut by the gable end. It has been restored following a lightning strike. Aligned numerals VII - XII - IIII. Full length hour and half-hour lines. Plain sundisc in gold leaf. The manor house is Elizabethan and was remodelled by Inigo Jones in 1636. The sundial is on an out-building within the grounds and is believed by the owner to date from approx 1750.
