Dame Hannah Rogers Trust, Newton Abbot

The stone vertical dial here is to be seen inset into the wall high above the windows and below a large wall clock. It declines east and shows the hours VI-IV divided imto halves and quarters. There is a semicircular sun motif round the root of the gnomon. The building on which the dial is mounted was formerly an agricultural college and part of Plymouth University. It was built in 1912 and the dial is thought to be contemporary with this.
