BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Church, Stoughton

Carved by Mr Jolly of Chichester Cathedral stonemasons. Made to commemorate the Millennium as portrayed by the MM and funded by the Village. Replacement of a previous dial which was repaired in 1776 for the sum of £1 5s 6d (taken from Church Records). A sketch of this dial was done in 1805, held by Sussex Archaeological Society. Probably removed mid-Victorian times, 1846-1860, before the cladding of the walls.
