BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Norfolk

IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, from outside, with noon gap. 30 and 15 minute divisions. Two birds - phoenixes? - face each other across the gnomon (which is missing). 8-point compass rose around gnomon root, labelled to NE etc. Motto ’Ye Shaddowe Tells’ at south. Tapering square-sectioned stone plinth, the base is engraved in memory of Alfred and Susannah Stevens, died 1930 and 1937.
