BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is on the lawn to the south of the house. It has a vertical gnomon with a centre gap for noon. It is delineated for BST hours at the Summer Solstice, with the edges of the gnomon indicating hours before and after noon, 9am to 3pm. The maker is an artist working in fused glass.
