BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Michael’s Church, Langley

The dial plate is set flush into the flintwork above the Priest’s door, and is not easily seen, being somewhat lost amongst the similarly coloured cement rendering repairs to the surrounding walls of the church. The top edge of the plate is cut with a pediment enclosing the date 1595. Hour lines emanate from a double semicircle around the gnomon origin, enclosing a series of equally spaced dots. Upright hour numerals are VI - + - IIII - VI, with a cross patty for noon, and half hours are marked by a dot within the chapter ring.
