BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Norfolk

The hour numerals are IIII - XII - VIII, read from the outside (4pm is not clear). There is a noon gap, and 30, 15 and 5 minute divisions. An eight-point compass rose at the centre is labelled to NE etc. The small triangular gnomon has a vertical north side. The dial is mounted on the octagonal top of a plinth having four engaged columns. The plinth top is inscribed ’To commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Their Majesties King George V and Queen Mary, May the 6th 1935’.
