BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Norfolk

The hour numerals are IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from the outside, with 30, 15 and 5 mimute divisions. There is an eight-point compass rose labelled to NE etc, and a motto: ’Amyddst ye flowres I tell ye houres’. The gnomon is loose from plate, with a plate base and ’S’ support. Memorial stones commemorate Frederick Adderson 1873 - 1936 and Rosa Adderson, d 1947.
