BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Beaconsfield Town Hall garden, Beaconsfield

Large 5-ring armillary sphere in blackened brass. The broad lower half of the equatorial (hour) ring carries Roman numerals and 15 minute divisions. The horizon ring has ’CARPE DIEM’ on the vertical flange at the south and around the horizontal flange are the 8 compass directions, labelled to NE etc, and distances and directions to six locations (Windsor, Longres (?), London, Bekonscot Toy Town, Buckingham, Oxford). Inside the horizon ring is inscribed "Mayor of Beaconsfield Councillor Graham Smith 2002-2003"
