BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Michael’s Church, Coningsby

Square stone dial plate high on the buttress at the SE corner of the nave, held by three iron dognails. Upright Arabic numerals 6 - 12 - 6. Hour lines with dots for half hours. All rather crudely cut, and 10 re-cut after error; 11 and 12 also possibly re-cut. ’IB 1665 RO’ across the top. Bent iron bar gnomon with straight support. The church is famous for its one-handed clock, dating from the 17th-century and at 16½ ft, thought to be the largest of its type in the world. The church is also unusual in that it is open to north and south to allow a footpath to pass through.
