BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
Upright numerals IX - XII - IV - VI, no subdivisions. Date below 1714 or 1717. Hour lines to semi-circle around gnomon root. Modern inscription on nearby doorway ’Historia stulto relata vita est / plena vocis et furoris sed / nihil significat’ (cf Macbeth ’it is a tale told by an idiot, signifying nothing’).
