Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Yorkshire (S)

16 point compass rose. Numerals Roman read from outside. Lat D53 M35. Noon gap. Every minute marked, numerals Arabic every 10 mins. Half hour marked with fleur de lys. Crest indistinct but could be Strafford, as it should. EOT circle marked monthly, with Watch Faster and Watch Slower. No sign of makers signature. The blackamoor and the dial reported by owners to have been restored very recently. Both to be installed in the restored glasshouse/conservatory Spring 2013. Indoors for safety. Their original position was outside the glasshouse. The whole has been in store for more than 20 years. Original blackamoor and dial in original early 18th C position, good documentation.
