BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Kent

Sun face in 8-pointed compass rose labelled to NSEW. False date at the south ’1767’, and motto round the circumference ’Let others tell of storms and showers, I’ll only count your sunny hours’. ’Knuckle-duster’ gnomon, but more elegant than the usual, with slender style terminating in a slight hanging bulge. Square section stone plinth, tapering upwards, with an inscription indicating that it was a gift from the Royal Artillery Association.
