BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Wellington Road, Harwich

A fine 7-ring armillary sphere (arctic circles, tropics, equator, horizon and meridian). The horizon ring is inscribed with the names of the people of Harwich who died in the flood of February 1953. Mounted on a stone top of a brickwork plinth, bearing a plaque recording the flood. Located by the entrance to the Lifeboat Museum.
