BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Yorkshire (W)

This is a cast dial plate with a blank shield at the south. It has an eight-point compass star, labelled to NE etc, and aligned numerals IV - XII - IV - VIII, read from outside. It is mounted on a square sectioned plinth, having detailed ornamentation at the top corners, standing on a stepped base. An inscription on the plinth commemorates local WWI dead, with 26 names.
