Elton Hall, Elton

The gnomon of this dial has the shape usually associated with a double horizontal, but the stone dial plate, though largely unreadable, makes this unlikely. The dial plate itself is cracked through the gnomon mounting line but the whole thing rests safely on a circular section baluster style plinth atop a square base. It may be found on the lawn near the front entrance to the Hall.
