BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

On the outside of the horizontal band ’Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind and therefore is winged Cupid blind’, and ’The greatest happiness in life is to love and be loved’. On the inside are dates and initials of family members. Two time scales, for GMT and GMT+2 (French Summer time). Roman numerals using XII and IIII, divided to quarter hours. Mounted on a Georgian style baluster plinth standing on a platform of granite blocks.
