BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

’The Gift of SAMUEL HOLLAND ESQ, his MAJESTY’S Surveyor General of Lands for the Northern District of North America to Dartmouth College New Hampshire 1773’; Equation of Natural Days; Watch slower faster EoT scale counterclockwise, maxima at 14,42 mins on 10 Feb, 16,06 mins on 2 Nov; 31 place names engraved between numerals, in order of longitude from Aleppo in east through N[orth] Cape of New Zealand in west, centred on Portsmouth, New Hampshire at noon; noon gap; 32 compass points (’SSW’ repeated twice); inward fleurs-de-lys half hour markers. The gnomon is a replacement made in 1985.
