BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Village Green, Newborough

An unusual dial formed from a branched tree trunk, with a generally horizontal irregular concave dial plate. Hour lines are carved for XI, XII, I, and III (II absent), and a noon gap is present. Carvings on the plinth include a Staffordshire Knot, a north-pointing arrow, a snail, two horses’ heads, and a dog (Snoopy?), A steel joist sunk at an angle into the ground supports the structure.
