BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Hertfordshire

Delabole slate dial. Aligned numerals V - XII - IIII - VII, with noon gap, divided to quarter hours, read from outside, except XI and XII from inside (ie primarily read from the south). Date ’MMX’ at S edge. ’Barnet’, Latitude 51 39 N Longitude 0 10 W’ in band to S of gnomon. Octagonal Portland stone baluster pedestal on square base, height overall 915. Designed, delineated and made by Harriet James; pedestal made by Mark Rawlins.
