BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Wiltshire

Purbeck marble. Date MMX in curved top. Gilded flaming sun around gnomon root. Declination curve for owner’s wedding anniversary, 15 August. Upright numerals XI - XII - IIII - VIII, with hour and half hour lines to unmarked curve around gnonon root. Solid gnomon with notch nodus. Designed, delineated and made by Harriet James.
