BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Gloucestershire

Inscribed ’CORONATION 1937’, with the Royal Coat of Arms. The gnomon tip is bent over - and was probably made like that. Roman numerals 4 am to 8 pm. Pedestal is a rough-hewn stone block, approx square section, top too small to accommodate the dial properly. A rare design, claimed to have been in place since the coronation.
