BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Frogmore House (1), Windsor

Made of bronze and 406mm in diameter, this horizontal dial shows the hours IIII - VIII divided into 30, 15 and 5 minute periods. There is a noon gap and an 8-point compass rose centred to the N of the gnomon foot, also Father Tine with his scythe A band round the centre of the dial plate carries the motto ’In this garden fair amidst your flowers ,serene I stand and show your sunny hours.’.A circular section baluster plinth has acanthus decoration and roundels. It stands on a square stepped base and is surmounted by an octagonal top.
