BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Katharine’s, Frieth

A circular brass horizontal dial shows the hours IIII - VIII divided into halves, quarters and periods of 5 minutes. It has an 8-point compass rose. A scroll at the south side of the dial has a partly legible motto ’In suae directae domus memor... ...er fuio’ with initials FC, DD, CAC and the date MDCCCXC (1890). During the period 1941 - 1946 the house was occupied by King Zog and Queen Geraldine and their family whilst in exile from Albania.
