BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
In the farm and gardens,this brass horizontal sundial by F.Darton & Co is 383mm in diameter and shows the hours IV - VIII divided into halves, quarters and periods of 5 minutes, There is a split noon line and an 8-point compass rose. It is mounted on an octagonal baluster style pedestal with the motto ’I number none but the cloudless hours’ inscribed on the upper surface.
